Salisbury Steak

I was in the mood for some good comfort food the other night.  Nothing says comfort food like salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and peas.
There are a lot of recipes for Salisbury steak and this one was pretty easy.
Start with 1/3 cup of Campbell's French onion soup.
Add the soup and 1/2 cup bread crumbs to a lb of ground beef.
Add an egg.
Salt and pepper. Mix well. Form into patties.

I made these patties too big.  They should have been smaller and they would have been easier to work with.  Place in a skillet and over medium high heat, brown both sides.
In a separate bowl put the rest of the French onion soup.  To that add 1 Tablespoon all purpose flour.
Whisk until there are not flour lumps.
Add 1/4 cup water.
1/4 cup ketchup.
1 Tablespoon steak sauce.
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder.
Whisk it together well.
Brown both sides of the patties.
Pour the sauce on top of the patties and reduce heat.
Cook until the patties are cooked through.
I had to make peas and carrots because that is what is always with Salisbury steak in the tv dinners.
