Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Scones

These scones have everything but the kitchen sink in them and boy are they good. They smell good too.
I know it looks like a lot of ingredients but it's not that bad.
Start with 2 cups all purpose flour.
1 cup traditional rolled oats (old fashioned oats)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
Whisk it together well to mix.
Cut off 6 Tablespoons cold butter.
Cut it into small pieces. Cut it into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter, fork, or two knives.
Add 3/4 cup buttermilk
Separate one egg and save the yolk
Add the buttermilk to the egg yolk. Whisk it together.
Add the buttermilk mixture to the flour mixture.  Stir well.
Add 1 cup chunky peanut butter.
1 Cup semisweet chocolate chips.  I didn't have chips but I did have a bar of semisweet chocolate so chopped it up to use.
Mix well.
Pat or roll out. Cut out and place in a preheated 400 oven and bake for about 18 minutes.  Watch them so they don't overbake.
The finished scones.
