Crock Pot Beef Tips and Gravy

I have another beef tip recipe that is super easy.  I found this one and thought I would give it a try as well. This one takes a little bit longer but it is just as good as the other recipe I have.  So now I can switch them up.
The Lipton onion soup mix really adds some flavor to recipes.  Just don't add any more salt because there's plenty of salt in it.
Empty a can of cream of mushroom soup in the bottom of the crock pot.
Add a can of beef broth
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
Whisk it around to mix well.
Add the beef tips.  Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours
About an hour before you are going to serve dinner, place 2 Tablespoons butter in a saucepan.
Add 3 heaping tablespoons of flour.  You are going to make a roux to thicken the gravy.
The butter is melted and the flour mixed.
Add about 2 cups of the broth from the crock pot.  Whisk until it is smooth.  Let it start to thicken and place back in the crock pot until you are ready to serve.
Serve over rice.

1 1/2 lbs beef tips
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can beef broth

2 tablespoons butter
3 Tablespoons flour
