Chocolate Coca Cola Cake

When I found this recipe I was transported back to childhood.  I had an aunt and uncle that kept cokes in those little bottles.  It just seems it taste better in those little bottles.  Makes me want one now that is ice cold.
There's a lot of ingredients to this cake and it is done in steps but it is so worth it.
In a bowl add 2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
In a medium saucepan add 2 sticks butter
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup coca cola
Heat on medium heat until the butter melts then turn up slightly and cook until it boils.
Once it starts boiling remove from heat.
Add to the flour mixture.  Mix well and let cool for a minute or two.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs.  Mix well.
Pour into a sprayed 9x13 pan.  Place in a preheated 350 oven.  Bake for 30 minutes.  Test with a toothpick to see if it comes out clean.  If not bake a few more minutes.

These are the ingredients for the icing.
While the cake is baking go ahead and mix the icing.  Start with 1 stick of butter in the saucepan.
1/2 cup coke
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa.  Melt butter and whisk together.
Measure out 4 cups confectioners sugar
Chop about 1 cup pecans.

Once the butter melts and starts to boil, remove from heat.
Add the confectioners sugar
and the pecans
Stir well.
Remove the cake from the oven.
While still hot pour the icing on top of the cake.
Spread the icing over the top and smooth.  Then dig in.
