Furlough Cookies AKA Reese's Oatmeal Cookies

I started out yesterday making these cookies for the weekend.  Got to have something sweet for the games on Saturday.  Well the husband called and wanted to know what I was doing and when told I was baking cookies he asked if he could bring them in to  work on Friday.  Well I know things have been bad at work this week with the furlough letters going out.  Even the essential workers have an expiration date, Monday.  So how could I tell him no.  It also gave me the idea to rename these cookies too.  So now I will have to make something else for Saturday.  That just gives me another blog post though so that isn't bad.  By the way, these cookies can be frozen before baking.

Make sure you use quick cooking oats.
Start with 3/4 cup softened butter
Add 1/2 cup white sugar.  Cream well.
1 cup brown sugar
Add 2 eggs, mix well after each one.
1 Tablespoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup Reese's Pieces.  There was just a few more in the bag so I went ahead and added those too.  These were the mini ones found in the baking isle.
Mix well. Place in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
Place in a preheated 350 oven.  Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Fresh from the oven.  They are so good.  Just the right combination of oatmeal and peanut butter.
