Easy Mini King Cakes

We are officially in Mardi Gras season. I am sharing with you a very simple King Cake that you can make at home.  The only thing missing is the baby Jesus but if you have one you can add them to your.
I will tell you that it is hard to find purple sprinkles.  I thought they would be out for Mardi Gras but they weren't.
Start by separating the cinnamon rolls.
Unroll the cinnamon rolls.  Be careful and don't let all the cinnamon stuff come off.
Fold the roll in half.
Then twist the roll.
Make a circle on a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with non stick spray.
Do the same steps with the rest of the rolls.  Place in a preheated 350 oven. Bake for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown.
The baked rolls.
Get out the icing that comes with the rolls.
Ice the rolls.  They are hot so the icing will melt and ooze over the rolls.
Then add the three different colors of sprinkles.
I will admit the yellow sprinkles are not real brightly colored.
The finished King Cakes.  I think your family will enjoy celebrating Mardi Gras with these.  You could also make them heart shaped and use pink or red sprinkles for Valentine's Day as well.
