Quick and Easy Apple Tart

Remember it's apple season.  This is a quick and easy apple tart that you can make for dinner tonight.  It taste great too.  Once again I was without vanilla ice cream.  It would have been nice with this tart.
Drizzle a little caramel sauce across the top for a little extra something.
Thaw one sheet of puff pastry to start.
Core one or two apples.  A lot will depend on the size.  I had extra apple. Cut in half.
Thinly slice the apple. You can peel your apples if you want.  I didn't take the time to do that.
Toss with some lemon juice to keep the apples from turning.
Add 1/3 cup brown sugar
A dash of salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Toss and let sit for a few minutes.
Unfold the puff pastry.
Cut in half.  Line the apple slices down the middle.Mine didn't have as much of the pastry on the sides to puff up and it leaked juice out into the oven.
I put a little sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Put in a preheated 415 oven.  Bake for 18-20 minutes.
I had some apples leftover so I put them in a little dish and put in the oven to bake.
The cooked up nice and golden brown.
Sprinkle with a little powdered sugar.
That looks so pretty.
Then dish up with a little caramel sauce or ice cream.
