Dutch Apple Pumpkin Crisp

Apple and pumpkin are two of my favorite flavors for fall, put them together and it makes for a dish that taste just like fall.  The topping on this pie is different from the other apple crisp that I made a couple of weeks ago.  A little ice cream on top makes it just a little bit better too.

Probably things you have in your pantry all the time.
Peel, core, and chop 2 cups of apples.  Place in a 9 in pie plate.  Place in the microwave for 2 1/2 -4  minutes depending on how soft you want your apples.  I cooked mine for 2 1/2 minutes and now I wished I had cooked them a little bit longer.
In a medium size bowl add 1 cup pumpkin puree.
Add 1/3 cup white sugar
1/4 cup milk
2 Tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Take the apples from the microwave.
Add 1 egg
Mix well.
Pour the pumpkin mixture on top of the apples.
In a small bowl add 3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Then cut up 1/4 cup softened butter.
Add it to the flour mixture.  I used a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour.
When it is all crumbly it is ready to put on top.
Sprinkle it on top all around.  Place in a preheated 350 oven.  Bake for 30-35 minutes.
Fresh from the oven.  Let sit for about 30 minutes before serving.
A little ice cream just seems to finish it off.
