The blog site I found these recipe on advertised them for Valentine's Day but I thought they would be perfect for game day. One thing I liked about these brownies they are made in an 8x8 pan so you won't have them sitting around all week tempting you to eat them. If they don't fit the color choices of your favorite team then save the recipe for Valentine's day. They are quick and easy to make.
This picture also included the ingredients for the cheesecake filling.
Melt one stick of butter.
To the butter add 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder.
Add 1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 Tablespoon red food coloring. This is about half a bottle of food coloring.
1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
Mix well. Notice how it has turned from the chocolate brown color to the beautiful red color.
Add 3/4 cup all purpose flour
Mix well.
Take out 1/4 cup of the batter to use on top.
Spray an 8x8 pan. You can also line the pan with parchment paper.
Now for the cheesecake topping. Start with 8 oz cream cheese that is softened
3 Tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Add 1 large egg yolk
Mix well.
Spread on top of the red velvet batter.
Put dollops of the red velvet batter on top of the cream cheese.
Using a knive swirll the two batters together.
This is what it will look like when you have them all swirled. Place in a preheated 350 oven. Bake for 30 minutes.
Fresh from the oven.
Perfect for game day.
