It's a Meal Cheese Dip

This is another of our favorite Tailgate Saturday meals.  I have made the regular cheese dip from time to time but the family prefers this one that can be made into a meal.
I could have also used this for my Crock Pot Mondays.  You don't have to use the crockpot but you can put it in and forget it and not miss any of the game getting dinner ready.
This is one of the few recipes that I will use the crock pot liners.  They make clean up a snap!
Open two cans of Rotel tomatoes and put them in the bottom of the pot.  On top of that add the taco seasoning mix.  I like to put those items in first then I can stir the seasoning mix well before the other items are put on top.
Cube the 2 pounds of Velveeta Cheese before putting into the pot.  The cheese will melt faster if it is in smaller pieces.  The rule is one can Rotel to one pound of cheese.
Brown about one pound of ground beef in a skillet.
Drain the beef when it is completely browned.
Dump in the crock pot.
Brown between 3/4 a pound and one pound of sausage.  You can use hot if you like.  Try to break it up into small pieces.
Drain the grease off the sausage as well.
Dump it into the crock pot and stir well.
The cheese is fully melted so you are ready for the chips.
