Wow!! What a day. We learned how to navigate the New Jersey PATH trains into the city. Wondered around Times Square, had lunch with singing servers, went to the Top of the Rock, toured the 30 Rock complex, and saw a rocking concert at Madison Square Gardens. All while logging in 25,145 steps.
We came off the PATH train around Macy’s. I looked for some inflatable balloons but did not find any.
Times Square complete with the ball that drops on New Year’s Eve.Even Minnie dresses up for New York.
Now for lunch at Ellen’s Stardust Cafe. Home of the singing servers. So we had lunch with a show.
Our server.
Radio City Music Hall home of the Rockettes.
Here are some pictures from the Too of the Rock. It is still a little hazy. Not sure if it is from the fires or from just summer heat.
We took a walking tour of the Rockefeller complex. These are some pictures from that tour of the buildings and artwork.
Then a quick visit to FAO Schwarz.
Now on to the main event; Madison Square Garden.
Breland opened for Shania. He’s a twenty something Jersey boy that was in awe of his first performance in the Garden.
Shania opened the show in the audience a little bit below us and then made the round through the middle of the floor.
She put on a rockin’show. She played all of her old stuff which was great. If you happened to see the Today Show this morning you might have seen Hoda talk about being at the concert. She and a man from Shania’s label presented her with the news that her Come On Over album has sold 20 million copies.
It was a great day but we rolled into our hotel about midnight so we are moving kinda slow this morning.
