Today we set out from Nee Bedford and headed west toward Mystic. We could have taken a direct route and been there in about an hour and a half but we once again took the road less traveled and went through some lovely little seaport towns. We saw some beautiful homes like yesterday and some charming seaports.
We made a few stops at antique and quilt shops. I don’t have pictures of the antique stores but I do of the quilt shops.
The first stop was Sew Nice Fabrics. This shop was in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
In one of the antique stores I saw this hand towel and thought it was funny.
The second shop was this one.. She didn’t have any things made up one the wall.
We then made it to Mystic. Mystic is a charming little sea port complete with drawbridge! I saw these pretty flowers where we parked. I found a moonplant.
We had dinner at MysticPizza. It was made famous from the movie Mystic Pizza. The movie was filmed in the restaurant but it doesn’t look the same today.it has been added onto and remodeled due to the pizza places popularity.
Then we walked through town.
Tomorrow we head to New Haven, CT for the ACGHS erector show weekend.
