Southern Style Cut Off Corn

One of the great things of summer is the fresh vegetables. Corn is one of my favorite vegetable and I like it both on the cob and cut off.  I found this recipe for cut of corn and thought I would give it a try.  It was easy and it taste good so that means it is a keeper.
I already cut the corn off the cob when I started with this recipe.  If you are not sure how to cut the corn off the cob check out the many directions you can find on Pinterest.
Start with 3 Tablespoons of butter in a skillet.  You will want the skillet on medium to melt the butter but not to cook the butter.
In a large measuring cup add 1 1/2 cups water.
Add 3 Tablespoons plain flour to the water.
Then add 2 teaspoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
Whisk this well until there are no lumps in the water.
Add the cut off corn to the butter in the skillet.
Add the flour mixture to the corn.  Cook over medium low heat for 40-45 minutes, stirring often.
You want the liquid to evaporate.
After cooking for about 45 minutes.
