Mustard Hasselback Kielbasa Bits

It’s fall and football season. We are always looking for something new for game day Saturday. This past Saturday we tried these sausages with their dipping sauce. They couldn’t be any easier.

The slices opened up to make spaces for all that dipping sauce.

The original recipe calls for two circles of sausages. We didn’t need that much so we did half.

So in traditional hasselback fashion, use two wooden spoons one on each side of the sausage to help you cut without going all the way through.

I probably could have made the cuts closer.

Then I cut them into smaller sections.

Now for the sauce. 1/4 cup ground Dijon mustard.

2 Tablespoons brown sugar

2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon steak sauce

Mix it all together and toss the sausage in half of the sauce.

Place on a parchment lined pan. Place in a preheated 425 oven. Bake for 18-20 minutes.

Add 2 Tablespoons of mayo to the left over sauce and whisk together.

And this is what they look like when they come out of the oven. Serve with the dipping sauce.
