Hula Crock Pot Chicken

I found this recipe for Hula chicken the other day and the inspiration for Hawaiian night was born.  I'm not sure if it was the continuous days of rain, and not seeing the sun for several weeks it seemed like, or just dreaming of the beautiful islands that made me search for recipes inspired by the islands.

Start with some boneless chicken breast.  You can use any bbq sauce that you like.
You will need two pieces of bacon for each piece of chicken.  Slightly cook the bacon.  I chose to cook it in the microwave.
Drain the bacon well.
Wrap each piece of chicken in two pieces of bacon. Place the chicken in the bottom of the crock pot.
Chop half a purple onion.
Cover the chicken with bbq sauce
Top with the chopped onions.
Drain a 20 oz can of crushed pineapple.
Top the chicken with the crushed pineapple.  Cover and cook for 5-6 hours.
Add some Hawaiian fried rice and you have a great meal.
