Cranberry Pecan and White Cheddar Cheese Ball

This was a really nice twist on my regular cheeseball.  The cranberries make it very festive for the holiday season.
Isn't that pretty?
Get some really good quality white cheddar for this recipe.
Start by lightly toasting some pecans.  Spread them out on a parchment lines baking sheet.  Bake for about 5 minutes in a preheated 350 oven.
While they are toasting start putting the rest of the cheese ball together.  Start with 8 oz softened cream cheese.
Grate 8 oz of good quality sharp white cheddar cheese.
Add 1 teaspoon steak sauce.
1/4 teaspoon salt
After the pecans have cooled, finely chop them.  Use 1/2 cup in the cheese ball.
After you have it mixed well, place on plastic wrap and shape in a ball.  Place in the fridge for an hour or so to firm up.
Take it out of the fridge and lightly press dried cranberries into the ball.  Rewrap and put back in the fridge until ready to serve.
Serve with crackers.
