It wasn’t until after 10:00 it got dark enough for us to drive back out to Bronner’s to see the Christmas lights. That’s what happens when you are here in the longest day of the year. But they were worth it especially with the full moon.
This morning we headed back into town to check out Zenders bakery. They had full cases this morning and it was very hard to decide what to get because it all looks good. We settled on a couple of chocolate covered cream filled donuts and fritters. I’ll share more about out treats later.
We put out treats in the car and then walked through town. One thing that Frankenmuth always has is pretty flowers. They are everywhere.
We got back to the car and was ready for our breakfast. It was as good as it looks. May even be better than KK!
So long Frankenmuth.we will be back.
We drove through Bay City. I dropped Joe off at an antique store and I found a quilt shop.
We found the rain this afternoon on our way to Saint Ignace Michigan. This is our first time to stay on this side of the bridge. I have a few pictures of our first look at the bridge and out trip across.
We have a nice room on the water. We saw these geese going out to water when we got in our room.
We had dinner at a local place and hen walked out to the lighthouse.
Driving through Mackinac Citywe saw this restaurant. We might have to check it out tomorrow.
Our plan had been to take the ferry over to the Island tomorrow, but there is about 90% chance of rain tomorrow. I don’t think the island and rain mix very well. We will find something else to do tomorrow. Maybe Sunday will be a better day. Mackinac is also one of our favorite places to go. We love walking along the waterfront and seeing all the pretty houses. I guess I should t tell you think and I did wait u til the end but it has been a chilly 65 degrees today. I almost feel bad because I know it has been close to 100 at home. We will enjoy it while we can.
