Chocolate Cherry Banana Bread

Here is another recipe that uses those good fresh cherries.  There is almost too much stuff with the bananas too but the bread was moist.
This recipe uses Greek Yogurt as well.
Start with 4 Tablespoons softened butter.  I scrapped out the bowl that I used to make the cherry muffins to use with the recipe.
Mash 2 medium or small bananas to equal about 1 cup banana.
Add 1 egg to the butter and banana
1/4 cup plain Greek Yogurt
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup plain flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped cherries
Put the cherries in a bowl first and add about 2 Tablespoons flour
Toss the cherries in the flour. It is suppose to keep the cherries from sinking to the bottom but it didn't really work that well.
Now you can add them to the batter
I sprayed a loaf pan and poured the batter in it.  You could make two smaller loaves if you like.  Place in a preheated 325 oven.  Bake for 65-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let sit for about 10 minutes.

It stuck just a little bit on the very bottom so it isn't very pretty but the cut bread sure is.

Chocolate Cherry Banan Bread Recipe

2-3 ripe bananas about 1 cup mashed
4 Tablespoons butter softened
1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup plain flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped cherries
2 Tablespoons flour
3/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 325.  Bake for 65-70 minutes.  Let sit for 10 minutes.

The recipe says that you can use frozen cherries that have been thawed and dried well.
