Today was our final day of vacation. We went over and spent the first part of the day at California Adventures. We headed to Sorin’ first. Sorin’ is one of my favorite rides. The area it is located in looks like a National Park, very wooded and National Park type signs. It’s a neat area.
Our second ride of the day was the Cars ride. Last time we were here this ride was closed so we were excited to try it. It’s kinda like test track at WDW. The Cars area has lots of special touches as well. Disney really goes all in on theming.
California Adventures was celebrating Lunar New Year. There are food carts and special costumes. There was a small parade too that we happened to catch.
We stalked a few characters today and found a few more hanging around.
After we rode the trolley around Main Street we walked back over to Disneyland. That is one thing that they get right in California, both parks are in walking distance with Downtown Disney in the middle. We walked back over to ride the train. We did not do that yesterday. We rode around the park, came back to Main Street, and noticed they were getting ready for the parade. If you ever get the chance to watch the parade from the second floor of the train station do it. It’s a great vantage point. Before the psrade we noticed all these black birds/ravens flying around overhead and settling in the trees. It’s like they were auditioning for a remake of the birds. And they were very loud.
Thanks for coming along with us on my birthday trip. Tomorrow we head back to reality again.
