Traveling with the Grobmyers Day 1 June 30,2025

Yes we are on the road again. We are headed to the ACGHS erector show in Pennsylvania. You know us we always make a trip out of it. We are taking a different route this time and I hope you will follow along with us. I think we have some fun places to share with you along the way.

This morning we took the scenic route and drove through Mentone and lots of other small towns along the way. Many of these towns had their flags already out for the 4th and one town had flags along the road with signs with a soldier’s name and the war they fought in. It is really nice seeing all these flags flying. It sure beats seeing all the kudzu along the way.

We left early this morning. First stop was Buc-ee’s on Union Grove Rd in the middle of north Georgia. Looks like the beaver is ready for the 4th.

Next stop Cleveland not Ohio but Georgia. Guess what we found here… The Cabbage Patch Kids hospital. We came here about 30 years ago and it has moved to this nice big location.

They have a short little display of some of their earlier CPK. It was a neat place and lots of nurses are around to answer questions.

We saw a cabbage patch birth while we were there.

The Grinch and Snoopy need some help driving Santa’s sleigh.

That was a nice stop and a fun experience. If you have littles it would be worth the drive over.

Back in the car for the short little hop and skip over to Helen. This is our stopping point for the night. We got here early enough to walk around a little bit and find a good German place for dinner. It was. It very crowded today. One of the clerks said the weekends are very crowded.

I found a Christmas shop of course.

We had dinner at The Heidelberg. It was very good German food. We were too full to try the Apple strudel which we really wanted to try.

A few pictures of town.

Our last stop of the day was this antique store. It was closed when we drove through but open onthe way to the hotel. I like the paintings on the building.

Here are some of the pretty flowers I saw today. Some are from the Cabbage Patch Hospital and some from Helen.

And like from our trip to Hawaii here is our chicken if the day.

We will be back on the road again tomorrow. We have a couple of I think neat stops along the way. Stay tuned.
