I found these new Nestle football chocolate chips and had an idea for a new cookie. It is based on the recipe on the back of the bag of chips. You can tailor make it with your team's colors by why would anyone want to use anything other that red and white. Those are the best colors. Make them for gameday or make them for a victory celebration.
I should have saved a few of the footballs for on top of the cookies because you can't really tell they are footballs. This is a basic sugar cookie.
This is what the football chips look like. I only found them at Walmart.
Start with 2 softened sticks of butter.
Add 1 1/2 cup sugar. Beat well.
Add 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt. Mix well.
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour. Add a little at a time and mix well.
1 cup sprinkles in the colors you want. Like I said you can't beat red and white.
This is what the footballs look like.
Add the sprinkles and the football chips to the batter.
Scoop the dough. Place in a preheated 325 oven. Bake for 8-10 minutes or so. The baking time depends on how big you make your cookies. These are small so I baked for around 8 minutes. They won't look done but they will set when the cool.
Now go celebrate that victory.
