I have found three different cranberry dip recipes. Each are a little different so I am going to try all three and let you know which one is best. This is the first of the three.
Sorry but I forgot to take a picture of the baked dip. Trust me the cheese was ooey and gooey. You can serve this with crackers or small slices of bread. I chose crackers. There's not much in this dip but it sure is good.
Start with 8 oz softened cream cheese.
1 cup cranberry sauce. I used whole berry but you can use the gel if you like. I actually think a little less might be better. It wasn't as thick as I would have liked it.
Mix it together.
Spread in a sprayed dish that is oven safe.
I sprinkled some pecans on top. Next time I might mix some in the dip as well.
I had some fresh cranberries so I put them on the top. Should have waited until after the cheese.
I covered it and put in the fridge. It's great to make ahead.
Before you place in a preheated 350 oven put some shredded mozzarella cheese on top. Bake for 15-20 minutes. You might have to bake a little longer if it has been in the fridge. Serve with crackers or bread.
