Chaos Part 2

So today you get the second installment of our chaos.  As they say on TV, previously on Chaos, we ended with the first shovelful of dirt.  That was August 26. Let's pick up the action.

So the first day I was working the city election and missed all the excitement.  My husband took and sent these pictures to me during the day.  The backhoe was used to take the bricks off the back of the house. 

They are pushing dirt away from the house and digging out for the footers.  I'm sure some of you know more about construction than I do.  I have learned a lot in the last couple of weeks.

 Pulling bricks off the other side of the house.  Our media room is on the other side of this wall and we have a slight crack in the sheetrock on that side now that will have to be fixed when this is all finished and we move out.

 We were very lucky it didn't rain during this part of the process because it would have been a mess.

 This is the end of day one.  They did a lot of work that first day.  Some of the pictures are a little out of order but you get the idea.  Wait until the next installment, pouring the footers and slab.
