This is a new recipe I found for one of our homegate football weekends. It was super easy to put together but I would do a couple of things differently next time and I will share that with you as I go along.
Ready to dive in.
Heat one 15 oz can of your favorite chili or use your own. You can use with or without beans. This is without.
8 oz softened cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon chili powder. We thought it could have used more chili powder.
Unroll the crescent rolls.
Cut into three pieces.
Take one of the cocktail wieners and roll it up in the crescent roll.
You will have a few wieners left over after you use up the rolls. I put those in some bbq sauce.
Back to the dip. Grate 8 oz cheddar cheese. Save some for the top.
Mix with the cream cheese.
Add the chili to the cream cheese.
Mix well.
Place it in an oven proof dish. I would have used a bigger dish.
Sprinkle some cheese on top.
The directions say add the wieners around the dip. But we found the bottom crescent roll didn't cook. Uncooked dough isn't good. Cook them on a baking sheet and then add them to the dip. Place in a preheated 375 oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
Eat the dip with the pigs in a blanket and taco chips.

1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon chili powder

Preheat oven to 375. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
