Today is National Cookie Day so I thought I would try out another new cookie recipe. These are very easy to make and quite festive with all the red and green sprinkles.
These cookies start with a cake mix. Doesn't get any easier than that.
To the cake mix add 1 teaspoon baking powder.
In another bowl/measuring cup pour 1/3 c oil.
To the oil add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
And add 2 eggs.
Whisk all the wet ingredients together.
Then pour into the cake mix.
Mix well. The batter will be stiff.
Then add close to a cup of sprinkles. You could probably put less in and they would be fine. These would be cute at other holidays too with different colored sprinkles. You might want to use your hands to mix well so the colors won't bleed as much.
Roll dough into cookies and place on a cookie sheet that has been lined with parchment paper.
Place in a preheated 350 oven. Bake for 9 minutes. Take out and let sit on the cookie sheet for about 3 minutes.
Here are the holiday cookies.
