Fruity Pebbles Cookies

Today's new cookie is a little different for me, but I think this will be a crowd pleaser for the children I entertain during the holidays.  Yes, you make these cookies with Fruity Pebbles cereal.  You may not be familiar with this cereal, but I bet you are familiar with the Flintstones that are on the box.  These are fun colorful cookies that I am sure the children in your life will enjoy.

Aren't these cute cookies?

There's nothing fancy about these cookies.  The only thing you might not have on hand would be the cereal.
Start with 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup sugar
1 stick melted butter
Let the butter cool for just a minute or two then add to the sugars.
Mix well.
1 egg and 2 teaspoons vanilla.  I guess I forgot the picture.
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix well.
1 cup Fruity Pebbles cereal
Add those and mix by hand.
That's a pretty colorful dough.
Add some more Fruity Pebbles in a bowl and roll the dough ball in the cereal.
This is what you want.  To bake place them in a preheated 350 oven and bake for 10 minutes.  Don't overbake.  Let sit for 5 minutes on the baking sheet.
These go in the freezer.
Now enjoy these pretty cookies.  I bet you can find a few taste testers around your house.
